Academy Course Featured in ‘Practical Reptile Keeping’ Magazine
It’s always exciting when one of the Academy courses appears in media outside of the Atikkam Network, so we were delighted when our online course Keeping Reptiles: Care, Welfare and First Aid was featured in this month’s Practical Reptile Keeping magazine.
The piece forms part of a broader article in the September issue which highlights the emerging opportunities to participate in reptile keeping courses across the U.K.
In addition to the Atikkam online course, the writer, Cher Heasmer, introduces reptile courses offered at Guildford College, Berkshire College of Agriculture, Warwickshire College, Bedford College and Chichester College. I’m sure these are all excellent learning opportunities. Whether you keep reptiles as pets or just want to discover more about them, I would encourage you to investigate these programmes.
If you do keep reptiles you might want to consider subscribing to the magazine too. It contains a great deal of useful information, reviews and expert advice from the reptile world. It is published monthly by Kelsey Publishing Limited.
The article shows our senior Animal Studies tutor, Jennifer Anderson, handling a young Bearded Dragon (Pogona vitticeps).
Jennifer has just launched the Keeping Reptiles Facebook Page and she’d love you to drop by!
